Altar Society
Members arrange flowers in the church and do some cleaning in the sanctuary area on a rota basis. There are four teams. Their week on duty includes extra work on special occasions e.g. Christmas, Easter, Confirmation, First Holy Communion, First Fridays etc. They do not arrange flowers for weddings. Individual groups decide on the days on which they work. The norm is Tuesdays and Fridays, approximately 1.1/2 hours each day. Flowers are provided by the church. Donations cover the cost of flowers for Easter and Christmas. No costs are incurred by the members, but greenery may be provided by them.
